Google+ Invitations

I have a sense that Google+ is going to be much more faith-friendly than any social media to date. It’s the granular privacy that’s key. But I’m really new to it — and unlike members of the tech press, who have been driving me nuts with their endless reviews and tips before most people have access, I think it’s premature to prognosticate. Meanwhile, if you’d like to join, I have some invitations to share. Please comment below or contact me.

(P.S. Comments are now on. I was bombarded by spam a while ago and defaulted to having them off.)

If you have plenty, I’d sure like to see the inside.

I would love an invitation to Google +
I am very curious about it!

Nick Knisely has similar thoughts. According to one of the comments, the ability to do fine-grained permissions is also present in Facebook, but few people use it. Personally, I have found privacy controls in Facebook to be (deliberately?) maddening, with a decided bias towards making everything public. I am not sure I would trust the Facebook interface to do anything really complicated.

Larry and Doris — You’re in. Enjoy!

Paul — Maddening is the word. I’d say there are two issues with Facebook privacy. First some of the settings are buried. Second, Facebook has been known to change them arbitrarily. So I don’t trust them. And thanks for the link.
